My room is pretty much done!  I think getting my room together was another project but it was so worth the time and effort.  I’ve moved a lot my entire life.  I’ve been pretty much everywhere but my room was pretty much empty.  A desk, a bed and a dresser or two.  That’s what my room is pretty much composed of until recently.  My last place in SF, I tried to decorate it.  I’ve managed to get a few things up but I was too busy with work and school and there was a point that I just threw shit everywhere haha.  When I moved back home, my room at our old house is HELLA HUGE.  A bunch of photos from high school was up but that was it.  I already knew we were going to move which is the reason why I didn’t care so much for my room.  As you can see there is a pattern that is starting to form here haha.  My room has always been a place to sleep.  It’s never been a place for me to hang out or study.  It’s strictly just for sleeping and that is the reason why I never even bothered with it.  Moving to this new house,  It was very therapeutic for me.  There were days I would just go here and move our boxes and furniture by myself and it was peaceful.  There was no internet or TV to bother me.  I would just blast my music and start unpacking.  I think one of the reasons why I cared so much for this room at the new house is because it feels like home to me.  It’s warm and cozy.  I just really liked the vibe of this new house.  After finishing my room,  I look around and it really is my life.  Everything in here has a story to tell and I really love that this is what I see first thing in the morning.  I wake up to all these memories I’ve created with all these amazing people.  It’s just a really really good way to start a day.  Being surrounded with so much love.

PS.  Waking up to your room smelling like mangoes, honey dew and melon. AMAZING <3  I love scented candles haha.
